A third generation Calgarian, Dale grew up drawing and painting. He has won awards consistently, for school entries, sponsored by The Calgary Stampede Board at the Big Four Building. He won 1st prizes in art contests sponsored by Esso, Kellogg’s, the Media, Fire Department, and other local companies.
During Elementary School, at the age of 11, his work was reviewed by Walt Disney talent scouts and Dale was invited to Walt Disney Studios, in California when he graduated. Dale, however was more interested in creating realism from his imagination rather than animation.
Dale has done graphics and artwork on feature films such as Superman 3 (Pinewood Studios, UK). The Journey of Natty Gann (Walt Disney Productions). Unforgiven (Malpaso Productions) as well as many other feature films and Television Productions.
