Terms of Use for Calgary Public Art Guide

1. Purpose of the Guide

The Calgary Public Art Guide provides a platform for users to explore, share and contribute information about public art. The Guide may include user-submitted images, locations, descriptions and other content about public art.

2. User Contributions

When you submit content (including text, photos or location data) to the Guide, you agree that:

• You own the rights to the content or have permission to share it.
• You grant Calgary Arts Development a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to use, reproduce, display, modify and distribute your submission for the purposes of operating and promoting the Calgary Public Art Guide.
• You will not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, offensive or misleading.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your submissions.

Users must ensure that photographs of artworks comply with the Copyright Act of Canada. We reserve the right to edit, remove or refuse any user-submitted content at our discretion.

3. Intellectual Property

All original content on the Guide (excluding user submissions) is owned by Calgary Arts Development and its partners, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and share information from the Guide for non-commercial, educational or personal use, provided you give appropriate credit and do not modify the content.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Guide for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with the operation of the Guide or its data
• Upload viruses, malicious code or spam
• Misrepresent artworks, artists or locations

5. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Guide is provided "as is." Calgary Arts Development makes no warranties about the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information displayed.

Calgary Arts Development shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the Guide, including errors in location data or user submissions.

6. Third-Party Links

The Guide may contain links to third-party websites. Calgary Arts Development is not responsible for the content or practices of those external sites.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Guide after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
