Works by Sarah Houle-Lowry

  • CREATURE MEDICINE / PISISKIWÂYIS

This piece is based on reimagined Cree and Métis myths surrounding the idea that we share this planet Earth with other beings that exist among us in different realms; traveling from either party to perspective realms by way of portals, dreams and ceremony.

  • Flowers for My Ancestors: A Métis Story

In this ceramic printing on glass, the artist honours the story of her great-grandparents. Floral motifs take the place of their features to represent the Métis as “the flower beadwork people.”
