Sarah Houle-Lowry is a Métis multidisciplinary artist and performer originally from the Paddle Prairie Métis Settlement in Northern Alberta and currently based in Mohkinstsis / Calgary, Alberta. She has studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and holds a degree from the Alberta College of Art and Design.
Her work has been screened and exhibited nationally, including TIFF Bell Lightbox, Trinity Square Video, Plug In ICA, AKA Artist Run Centre, and dc3 Art Projects and shown internationally at the Corban Estate Arts centre in Auckland, New Zealand. Houle has participated in residencies at Calgary’s New Central Library, the National Music Centre, and the Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity. She has been the recipient of awards from the Original Peoples Investment Program, Storyhive, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
Along with her band Ghostkeeper, Houle has performed across Canada including an opening slot for legendary musician Buffy St. Marie.
