The art on this utility box is an expression of what residents love about life in Coach Hill and Patterson Heights. Some of the images used included the flora and fauna found in our neighbourhood, while other images are representations of artifacts of the past and present.
You can take shelter from the wind thanks to three structural wind blocking pieces. These wind shields celebrate nature and represent Ethiopian and Ukrainian cultural symbolism in the form of coffee bean and egg shapes.
The artist included prairie grass (Buffalo grass/sage) in the mural, something that is regionally present here in Alberta, and would be something that the buffalo would eat to survive.
