An Exchange of Words: A Community Book Exchange

Kari Woo developed her public art project to purposefully bridge the former use of the site with its new purpose as a neighbourhood services office. Working alongside the local community and the family and friends of the late Georgina Thomson, she encouraged the exploration of the piece and its use in the new context to develop two installations that celebrate the site's past and present. The interior installation features a collection of collages, inspired by items collected during a workshop, which invited Calgarians to tell the story of the building and the woman it was named after.
