About this work

Like a brilliantly coloured industrial "tree", its red trunk is perched precariously on a single tapered point. Above, three discs scan the sky like whimsical satellite dishes. The vertical post is topped by a horizontal beam from which yellow and green I-beams soar up and away, creating an upward motion that counters the gravity-defying balancing act at the base of the structure.
