About this work

Inspired by the challenging requirements of this cantilevered bridge, the artist chose to reveal the complexities of engineering through his public art project. Words and shapes help to highlight the unique design and construction of this cantilevered walkway. Basic principles of physics such as compressing, tension, and expansion are noted at critical locations throughout the site. To learn more about this award winning design, visit the interpretive panel sitting at the base of the overpass.
