CALGARY DREAM

Meyso

Different elements and aspects of the city of Calgary and the region appear, a mixture of cultures and symbols, of forms of buildings that show its industrial side, and other forms that represent the vast nature in its landscapes such as the Canadian Badlands, the Pine Forest, the Canadian Rockies.

About the work

The city is an endless machine, a machine without mechanics, in perpetual movement, in constant growth and evolution. That is why this project is a continuation of my artistic work, in which different elements and aspects of the city of Calgary and the region appear, a mixture of cultures and symbols, of forms of buildings that show its industrial side, and other forms that represent the vast nature in its landscapes such as the Canadian Badlands, the Pine Forest, the Canadian Rockies.

Represented as a kind of child's play, it is associated with the colors of a dream and creates a path along which the spectator's gaze wanders, inviting him to embark on a journey in which he creates his own narrative in a harmonious, poetic and benevolent universe, a world of dreams and the open sky of Calgary, which offers us some of the most beautiful nights in the world with its shooting stars and aurora borealis. Above all, I love cities, to wander around and get lost, they are the witness to our existence, the mirror of our society, they reinvent themselves and question themselves. I also need nature and beautiful landscapes to recharge and create, and the city of Calgary seems to be the perfect combination of these two environments.
