Sited between the wetland and the front of Rocky Ridge Recreation Facility, this flock of birds rises from the wetland into the sky.

Inspired by wetland birds when they take flight, this artwork is responsive to the changing seasons, weather, and light conditions. Poles arranged in a v-shape support a flock of wind vane birds that move in the wind and glint with the sunlight. The shape and colouration of the vanes are loosely inspired by geese. The angle formed by the lowest vane on each pole are designed to point to the position of the sun in the sky at noon on the Winter Solstice.
