Offering to Selene from an Elephant God

Burns was born in India and lived in Scotland prior to coming to Canada. Trained in Calgary and Edmonton, she has exhibited her works across Canada and around the world. She also has a number of public artworks installed permanently in Edmonton and Calgary. Although this work is abstract, its title, "Offering to Selene from the Elephant God", makes reference to a trip the artist took to the country of her birth. It also makes reference to the artist's own spiritual growth.
