This public art installation spans both sides of Tuscany LRT station, which is in the centre of two north west communities, Rocky Ridge and Tuscany. This work explores the way movement, position, distance and time can all influence our perception of what we see. A series of sculptural installations merge to form two, 12 meter high sculptures, composed of 440 amber coloured safety lights. As the viewer moves throughout the site the sculptures begin to shift and change form. From individual poles, seemingly placed in a disordered context, to a precise circle made up of fractional elements, this engaging work is meant to foster a cross-highway dialogue; as though neighbours were chatting over a fence. If you're there as the sun is descending, stop and watch the lights gradually and randomly emerge to further shift and change your perception of roger that.
