This work was a gift to the City of Calgary from Mexico, and was created by one of that country's most celebrated contemporary sculptors. Sebastián's works can be seen around the world.

Made of metal and measuring over three metres (approximately 10 feet) high, it is an abstract work with elegant, curving lines, and is a good example of the geometric forms for which the sculptor is best known. But this sculpture, titled "Roseta", is also distinct within his body of work because of its purple finish. Sebastián has used this colour on only a few of his sculptural works. Prior to settling in Calgary, "Roseta" was in an exhibition that travelled to various locations in North America.
