The subject is the official animal and plant of India, inspired by the now-closed East Indian restaurant located in the building (now a Tim Hortons).
Painted far before the City of Calgary utility box painting program, this installation was commissioned by the building owners but considered graffiti by the City. The building owners defended their commissioning of the work and the art was allowed to remain once an anti-graffiti sealant was placed over the painting.
