Travelling Light

Travelling Light is a site-specific sculpture that examines and brings to life the theme of movement. Functioning as a street lamp, the structure serves to frame the landscape around it. This large circular form makes reference to one of the oldest symbols of transportation in existence, the wheel. Pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles, trains and planes all pass by this landmark, each engaging in their own specific mode of transportation. Motion and movement are referenced and united figuratively by a universal symbol, the circle.
