Capturing the past in the present, this wonderful mural by artist Quinn Mazurkewich depicts Alexander Corner, a retail and office space building that once stood on Stephen Avenue in downtown Calgary. The original building was built during the sandstone era and completed around 1889 and demolished in the late 1920′s. Quinn’s artwork aims to draw attention to the forgotten things, such as buildings and the lives they have lived. This mural reflects on our history, art history, and where the future is taking us.
