About Colette Whiten

Colette Whiten (b. 1945, Birmingham, England) currently lives in Toronto, and has maintained a 38 year long career as a professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design. She works across media to reveal the vulnerability and strength of the human body and spirit. She was a 2013 recipient for the Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts.

  • Olympic Arch

    This arch formed the entrance to the Athlete’s Village during the 1988 Winter Olympics, and was returned to the U of C in 1991 to celebrate the University’s 25th anniversary.
