A World Full of Colour is a Beautiful One

Sergey Ryutin

In February 2022, long time Bridgeland business owners, the Kullar family, were victims of a racist attack that left hate messages sprayed on their building. The Bridgeland-Riverside community rallied behind the family, collecting donations to have a mural painted on the wall. Along with matching funds from the City of Calgary's Inspiring Neighbourhoods grant, $14,000 was raised for this project. The Kullar family and the community worked closely with artist Sergey Ryutin to develop a mural that encourages thoughtfulness and discussion, with the hope of bringing the community together. This beautiful art piece can be seen on the east wall of the Inglewood Art Supplies building.
